Black Bean Lime Dip

This recipe is high in protein and completely vegan.  Give it a try!

2 cloves garlic

1 tsp Spirits & Spice Gaucho Goes on Everything

1 can black beans, drained and rinsed

1 tbsp Spirits & Spice Lime Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 tsp Spirits & Spice Vinagre Viejo de Montilla

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking spray or neutral oil for the pan

 

Grate or chop the garlic. Fry in neutral oil on a medium heat and in a large saucepan for a minute or two. Don’t let the garlic burn!

Drain and rinse the beans, then add them to the pan.

Fry for a couple more minutes, adding a couple of tablespoons of water as you go.

Finally, remove from the heat, add the salt, pepper, Gaucho spice, lime EVOO and vinegar.

Use a potato masher or even fork to mash it all up into a smooth paste.

Add it to bread, potatoes a salad or just munch it down as a real high protein snack!
