1 package seitan (you can used flavored seitan or even sirloin)
2 medium carrots, julienned
2 handfuls of broccoli florets
Sesame seeds for garnish
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 tsp Sweet Asian Spice
1/8 cup hoisin sauce
2-3 slices pickled ginger
Chili paste or Sriracha (to taste)
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
Ginger Sesame Oil for finishing
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
The recipe can be prepared in a wok, saucepan, or pot. Put the coconut oil into the pan on medium-high heat. Sear seitan until it is brown and crispy. Add vegetables, pickled ginger, and 2 tbsp soy sauce—steam with the lid on for 3 ½ minutes. Add hoisin, chili paste, and garlic, and stir to incorporate. Cook until broccoli is at desired firmness. Drizzle with ginger sesame oil and garnish with sesame seeds.
Best served over rice.
