Fig Balsamic Crostini

This simple yet elegant appetizer showcases the rich and sweet flavor of the Fig Balsamic. The combination of creamy goat cheese and the tangy-sweet balsamic glaze on crispy crostini makes for a perfect seasonal dish to kick off your Thanksgiving celebration. 

Ingredients:

  • Baguette, sliced into thin rounds
  • Goat cheese
  • Spirits & Spice Fig balsamic 
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh figs, sliced (optional)
  • Honey (optional)
  • Fresh thyme leaves (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and drizzle them with olive oil.
  3. Toast the baguette slices in the oven until they are golden and crisp, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Spread a layer of goat cheese on each toasted baguette round.
  5. Drizzle a little bit of fig balsamic vinegar over the goat cheese on each crostini.
  6. If desired, top each crostini with a slice of fresh fig, a drizzle of honey, and a sprinkle of fresh thyme leaves for an extra touch of flavor.
  7. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
