Super Easy. Set it up to cook while you are away for the day; come home to a great meal.
You will need:
1 Tri-Tip Roast
3 Tbsp. S&S Roasted Garlic EVOO
3 Tbsp. S&S The Perfect Steak Spice Blend
2 cups of potatoes cut into 2-inch cubes; skins on
2 cups of carrots cut into 2-inch pieces
1 yellow onion, diced
1/2 cup broth (chicken, beef or mushroom or water if you don't have broth)
1/4 cup (50ml) S&S Caramelized Onion Balsamic
1 tsp. S&S Garlic Pepper
Kosher Salt to taste
In a large skillet or flat iron, heat 1 Tbsp. of the Roasted Garlic EVOO until warm. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp. of The Perfect Steak Spice Blend on each side of the Tri-tip roast and pat down. Sear the Tri-tip in the skillet or flat iron until it is browned on both sides.
While the Tri-tip is searing, start your Crock pot and cut up the onions, potatoes and carrots. Place the remaining Roasted Garlic EVOO in the crock pot with the diced onions. Place the seared Tri-tip on top of the onions. Place the carrots and potatoes around the roast in the Crockpot. Pour in the broth or water over the potatoes and carrots. Sprinkle on the remaining 1 Tbsp. of The Perfect Steak spice blend over everything in the Crockpot. Drizzle the Caramelized Onion Balsamic over the vegetables. Salt to taste. Stir the vegetables. Allow to cook for the time allotted by your Crockpot.
This should make its own gravy. Enjoy!
