A.D. Rattray Williamson Blended Malt Single Cask Scotch

On the nose, there’s the pleasant aroma of wood smoke, malt biscuits, and earthy peat. With the savory taste of seville orange, peppermint, and soft spice. With hints of iodine, lemon, and lasting pork crackling to make up the finish.

This unique Scotch is referred to as a Teaspooned Scotch.  This means it is a single barrel with a minuscule amount of another barrel added.  In the case of this Scotch, Laphroaig is used for the base barrel.

Williamson Blended Malt Single Cask Scotch is named after Bessie Williamson, who was the only female who owned and managed a scotch whisky distillery in the 1900s. She is credited with being one of the first to anticipate and meet the needs of Single Malt Scotch in the US, and under her leadership, she managed to break Laphroaig out of being used primarily for blends and built it into a Single Malt brand.
